Just did my first few mega crab defenses, the new thing is a cryo bomb, it sits stationary on the mega crab bases and once destroyed causes all things in its radius to be frozen for a temporary period of time, it covers defenses in a layer of ice and slows its firing speed and affects units movement and attack speed.
The period of time is 20 seconds and it makes some damage to every thing in its huge radius. So critter containers open, other cryo bomb explode, critters loose about half of the health and it ist very dangerous for zookas.
Flame throwers still work and are not effccted by cryo bombs.

From experience yesterday, stacking worked as follows for me.
The 24hr timer ran down and a chest became available to me at 6pm on wednesday. However I did not raid any bases and therefore did not earn the required vp to claim the chest.
I waited a further 24 hrs and started raiding bases at 6pm on thursday. After earning 5vp i collected wednesdays chest, at which point thursdays chest immediately became available. I then earned another 5vp and collected thursdays chest.
The timer restarted and i have to wait until 6pm this evening (friday) before todays chest becomes avaialbe to me.
Mega Crab Returns!I hope everyone is excited for Boom Beach's Birthday and the RETURN OF MEGA CRAB! I have some information for you on how the event will be different this time around.
Mega Crab Differences:
- 3 days (instead of 7 days)
- 2.5h attack regeneration (instead of 3h)
- Max attack pool 8 (instead of 7)

Everything is very new to all of us right now. Some people are struggling to comprehend some new bits within the game and we all don't really know if the update is good for the game or bad for the game or how we really feel about it yet. All will be revealed in due course.
One thing I have seen people talking about is the Daily Rewards and how they have been nerfed. Firstly, what is a Daily Reward? Oh yeah, a VP Reward. A reward for the number of Victory Points you have, which is the key measure in the game with how high up the overall scale of players you or I sit. The higher your VP score, the better your VP reward. Makes sense.
So you've opened your VP Reward Boat today and instead of 10 Shards (as an example), you now have 7 Shards as an option. "WHAT THE BAJEEZUS?!? SUPERCELL, WHY HAVE YOU MESSED WITH MY BOAT?" Let me explain...
So in conclusion: Daily (VP) Rewards have been BUFFED. However, only if you want to gain 5 VP to open the chest. If not? Then your Daily (VP) Rewards have indeed been nerfed to what you were used to.
Morale of the story: you're supposed to attack in this game. This is SC's incentive to get you to do it. Choose not to and I'm sure you can still get by, but they've made it harder and slower for you.
HQ21 used to be LV59. HQ22 will be available at XP LEVEL 56. XP requirement for HQ21 will be lowered.
Cost for HQ22 is 4.78 million wood, 4.6 million stone, 4.42 million steel. Build takes 2 days 8 hours
HQ22 defensive upgrades: sniper tower, boom cannon, rocket launcher, shock launcher, machine gun, flame thrower, cannon, and mortar.
Also provides 1 additional sniper tower and more boom mines.
